Bostons are the best! I was not a "fan" of little dogs but my husband talked me into it and I'll never have any other breed besides Boston's again! They have no clue they are small...we describe them as minature boxers...full of fun and play! They love everyone but sometimes are a little hyper. As my vet has described they can also be OCD...both of ours lick their paws and whatever is around when going to bed. They CANNOT be left outside in extreme weather; in other words they are inside dogs!!! They are great with kids, babies & the elderly. All I can say is make sure you have lots of love to give...

Good information! Many times a dog will show signs of allergies because their immune system is not in great shape. That can be due to specific foods, steroids, antibiotics, yeast overgrowth. Building a dog's immune system is key to fighting allergies.

I found this article http://www.dinovite.com/blog/?p=3992 to be really helpful in understanding, "What if it's NOT allergies after all". Again, good, helpful information!

I have grown up with Boston Terriers and they are so fantastic-- completely insane-- but fantastic. The two that I have had were both very easy to train with treats and toys, however they were not that easy to potty train. The first one I had was a boy and if he ever got into parts of the house that were blocked off he would mark it as his. My newer female doesn't mark but she also doesn't ask to go outside. We have to be very careful to let her out every hour or so or else there will be a pee stain in our kitchen or a little present in one of our bedrooms. I would warn future owners that they often have eye trouble when they get older and that Bostons have really bad gas.
